Upon arriving in Ankara early in
the morning, you will receive a warm welcome at the airport and be transferred
to your hotel for breakfast and a short rest. The day begins with an exciting
visit to Anıtkabir, the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of
modern Turkey. This iconic monument is more than just a cemetery: it is a
national symbol of independence and unity, surrounded by stunning architecture
and a moving museum.
After a traditional lunch in
Tandoğan, you will continue to the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, which
houses artifacts spanning millennia, from the Paleolithic era to the Ottoman
period. Located at the foot of Ankara's ancient Castle, the museum is a masterpiece
in itself.
In the
afternoon, explore the Hacı Bayram Mosque, a serene Ottoman-era mosque next to
the ruins of the Temple of Augustus, where history blends harmoniously.
Afterward, stroll through the evocative Hamamönü, a beautifully restored
historic district filled with Ottoman houses, artisan shops, and traditional
cafes.
The evening concludes with a delightful Turkish dinner and
transfer back to the hotel to rest.
